Trip to Sihanouk beach!

9th March,
Friday evening, it was a busy and excited evening for brethren and dormers
which was one night before leaving to Sihanoukville where the beach is.
Everyone was sleeping at the dorm because the bus will leave at 4am early in
the morning. That night everyone just can’t went to sleep because they were so
happy in imagination to go the beach because mostly of them never been there
before so they spent time talking to each and some was cooking until 3am that
night.

4am early
Saturday morning, everyone ready for a bus to go but Sister Kimsrean’s children
was late because they had to go to see the doctor first before they leave to
Sihanoukville. Anyway, the bus left late at 4:30 am. When everyone was on the
bus they were sleepy but we showed a Korean
movie so still some sleep and some watching movie.

We arrived at Ocheuteal
beach around 9am and then we started to go to see the guest house where we will
stay for a night there. At 11am everyone got into their room to stay, the guest
house where we were staying was close to the beach. Then we started our trip to
the beach where we can eat and enjoy swimming. Finally we found a place to rent
for a whole day for eating and keeping our stuff. We started lunch at 11:30am,
after lunch most of us went to swim and some playing with sand on the beach and
some was sleeping on the hammock chair because they were not well; because they
were not sleep a whole night cause they were so excited. Everyone was swimming
about 3 or 4 hours and Dany, Phab, and Saody went to the market to buy food
ready for dinner after everyone come from the sea. The beach was so nice at 5-6
pm afternoon, there was big wave and sun set, the light was so red, lovely. We
started having dinner around that time too. Everyone look so happy and enjoy

their time every much.

However, after
dinner the sun was disappear and the darkness arrived but on the beach there were
many different kinds of light putting up in front of the shop along the beach,
it makes the beach look nice with different people firing fireworks on the
beach it does not make the quiet. Then Dany and Sophorn called everyone together
together to play games, they played 5 or 6 games on the beach under the light,
everyone got wet again because one game made them run around the everyone and
also went inside the beach we did have big space to run. Everyone we enjoy and
tired because they spent about 5 hours on the bus and 4 hours to play with
water and 2 or 3 hours to play game. At 9:30 pm everyone went back the guest
house to take a bath and ready for bed.

New Sunday
morning arrived, everyone was told to get up at 7 am to be ready to go to the Otres
beach which took us about 15 minutes by bus to get there. Anyway, some got up
on time and others did not; everyone had breakfast on their own. Then we left Otres
beach after everyone finished their breakfast. We arrived the beach around 8am.
Ohtress beach is the beach where allow us enough space for playing football
because that beach is new, does not have many tourists. We stopped at a place
where there was tree along the beach which gives shade to stay for a whole day,
a place without rented, a place with good view, a place with nice sand, a place
with not many people.

Again Dany,
Phab, and Saody did not come with us on the bus because they went to market to
buy fresh sea food for lunch and dinner and they came on a tuktuk after us. We
took a cooker with us and we can cook fresh sea food by ourselves under the
trees near the beach. At around 9:30am Dany, Phab and Saody came with food,
drink, and fruit – a whole tuktuk full. We started a charcoal fire in the cooker
to be ready for cook fresh sea food. Everyone really like that beach they play
football, swimming, walking along the beach and brother Sophorn also lead them
playing game, everyone look more happier than yesterday because their energy came
back. When food was ready for eat some came to eat but some were addicted to
play, some after eat they came back play again. It looks very good time for the
holiday. At 3pm we left Otres beach.

On the way back
home, we took the chance to go to see a place named Kbal Chay resort where there
was a waterfall. We spent 30 minutes there and everyone were very enjoy taking
many photos with the view of the waterfall. Then everyone came on the bus back
home with Korean movies continuing.

God Proves the Power of Prayer Again and Again

Over the course of my five-month long Cambodia trip I had the opportunity to teach class es at the Bethezer girl dorm regularly . For th ese class es I have a translator so I just get to teach the good news ( none of this dilly-dallying about English teaching ). Our topic on this particular night was prayer. Philippians 4:6 reminded us that God is longing to hear from us just as a father lo ves to hear from his child or how we are just hanging out to get a message from someone we love. We looked at H is promises to answer ALL our prayers while we abide in Jesus Christ (John 15:7) and at Psalm 34:4 where God confidently affirms that when you find your happiness with God, H e will certainly give you more of what makes you happy (Him!). And you can pray for that happiness because God will give you anything that brings you closer to Him so never be afraid to ask! That is nothing but i ncredibly good news ! We raced through many more quotes and I had expected to strug...

Maybe I'm just a girl

Well, dear Readers, Things have been busy here with preparation for our seminar this weekend. Catering, printing, emailing and phoning have been occupying our hours. James is sitting opposite me on the table working on his talks for Friday. We have had quite a number of bookings for our seminar and the numbers have only been limited by the size of our premises. God willing, all will attend and we’ll have a good two days of talks and chatting. We’re planning, God willing, a boat cruise as our social activity and that should be a blast since we can have a 2 hour cruise for 50 people for only $20. Have managed to hook up skype credit and tested a mobile call to Prydie. The 5 second lag meant it was like having two random monologues in the same room. The prices was fairly reasonable, but even as 3 cents a minute the cost climbs. James spends much time out on the balcony. He gets good wireless reception. It's quite a amusing to peek through the window and see James out on the balcony wa...
