First impressions ...!

The following are excerpts from a letter I sent home describing my first few weeks here. I have excluded some parts to make it more general in application. My apologies if that makes it a bit ‘clunky’. Kind regards, JA Davidson. …At present I am based at the BEC (Bible Education Center) in Phnom Penh. The BEC building serves several functions- it is the place the ecclesia meets, it is where the missionaries live and it is where Bible-based classes are taught from 6am until (at least) 7pm each day. How busy you are as an individual depends largely on how many other missionaries are available to help teach, as there is no shortage of students. Most of the classes are small in size, generally 1-5 students. These classes are normally centred around English teaching through the Bible (Or Bible teaching through English ;) ).
