Cambodia Bible Education Centre

Hey Everyone! :) Cambodia is great! The people are very friendly and extremely hospitable. They are generous with what little they have. Living here as a fieldworker is fantastic- it is hard work, but very enjoyable hard work! :). There are many different classes held by different fieldworkers every day (except Monday, because we take the day off), and some nights we have things scheduled. Josh and I feel settled in, and really love Cambodia. I really enjoy teaching and I know Josh does as well. I really like that there are heaps of young people here. Going to the dorm services is just like being at a camp, or going to Youth Group. Living here is like living and running a conference, just where people go to work in between activities!! :). I teach a class every morning from 7-8:00. It started off with three girls, and now, about five weeks later I have a class of 8!!! and here I find myself once again, lying on a comfortable hammock , preparing for my class tonight on Goals in our life and the importance of a vision. Brother Vitou is on the hammock on the other side of the pole my hammock is tied to. he just lying there listening to music. the music is humming in the air. The sky is a beautiful deep blue colour and I think about God's coming Kingdom as I watch the tropical sunset across Phnom Penh city. I can't wait. Life continues in Cambodia as normal. Whatever you'd like to define normal as over here. The BEC is still busy with teaching and learning themselves. I'm still loving living at the dorms. and continuing to build closer relationships with the boy and girl dormers. and all the brothers and sisters. hey everyone reporting once again from the Northern hemisphere, in that little country with so much potential, Cambodia. otherwise known as Cambodge. I haven't put photos up in so long so I thought that after such a long period of time I would let everyone have a look, sorry everyone for the lack of visual lately. I've just been so busy that I haven't had time. This is sort of a summary from ages ago. maybe a month, although it seems like just one huge day. I found some time this afternoon after teaching at LCDI, so I thought I should grasp the oppotunity while I have the chance. Time starts to merge itself into itself around here. there seems to be a phrase that is continually proceeding from my mouth and that is "there 'just insn't enough hours in a day". first thing that hits me as i walk out of plane when i land in singapore and then sydney 12 hours later is "this place is all organised and stuff".... so im sitting here at home noticing that the moon is upside down, its crazy all the thing up the north side are upside down, for instance, the serve there icecreams upside down, the sun come up the other way, red means go (but then so does green) even tho im back home i have the passwords, so heres my final blog........for now :) when i first got to cambodia we had a prepared to preach (p2p) week and then a bible school. in the p2p week we split up into 4 groups and went all around cambodia, two groups went to the provinces and the other two stayed in the capital phnom penh and build gardens for both the dorm and lcdi. there is one major thing that effected me in cambodia, and that was, i was sitting on the motorbike at the lights next to a school and al the kids were jumping on the chairs having a good old time (like kids do) ...
