We had nin e girls from the Bethezer dorm this evening at BEC for lessons. They are studying about God and Steve is trying to include English lessons in their study as well. These girls work very hard at their university as well as working to earn a small amount of money to live, so it is very difficult for them to also find time to study God's word. The girls are trying to come each evening from 6 - 7 pm as this is their only free time. While the girls were studying Loy and Veasna w ere in the kitchen cooking up a delicious meal for some us to share! Brothers Vong, Long Ang, Chantouen and Veasna as well as Sis Gaye joined us for dinner and then we all enjoyed a wonderful Worship Service together. This is a tradition at BEC on Wednesday evenings so that brothers and sisters who are unable to join us on Sundays can break bread and remember our Lord. We continue to be blessed with new students at BEC, from many interesting walks of life and often with a huge amount of commitment. ...

What a wonderful way for us to return to this land of spiritual opportunity, to see young Jonno totally consumed by his love for and service to God. Just as Paul was wo nderfully challenged by Timothy we tried to look through our younger brother’s eyes. He was a blurr of action but took the time to greet, value and find comfort in our love for him. The story of the tortoise and the hare came to mind but that had a different ending to the shared vision and unity that we seek through our master the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all seeking to reach the finish line, the kingdom together. The race cannot be won alone. To see our brother ‘K’ assisting with the baptism was a joy to all of us. And now that Josh, Sarah and Jonno have gone, the BEC will try and continue their work under new fieldworkers. Don and Una will leave early tomorrow morning. as I walk calmly down the stairs to olympic stadium, I can't help but think I've changed, after all the last time I came down those stairs was 7 months ago bounding down them 4 at a time with Brother Andy Errington beside me chasing after the thief who had just stolen our bike. I think I know Cambodia now, after all I am Khmer with white skin. A Khmer who is currently standing, bent over in a free internet kiosk, in the airconditioned prison of Taiwan International Airport, missing Cambodia...... this week memories have been flooding my mind, Everything I see, touch, smell, do, reminds me of the last 7 and a half months. I came to Cambodia in November last year for 6 weeks, and that 6 weeks has stretched into 7 and a half months because I didn't want to go home, because Cambodia has done somthing nothing else ever has, it has caught me in a way that that I've never have experienced. I hope this is the question you are all asking- all you Kampuchea-lovers out there-, due to the lack of blogs, for which we all here apologise. We have all been very busy, as it is coming upto the last week to three weeks for us - Jonno (leaving on the 21st), Josh and myself (leaving on the 24th) and Don and Una (leaving on the 28th). Steve and Lynne arrive on the 15th so all will be handed over to them. You can imagine the details they will need to be brought upto date on, the changes, and difference in schedule, the way things are being done here, the finances etc at the moment. These next two weeks will be a mad scramble as we pack to go to Australia, and welcome Steve and Lynne to the BEC as it is. What has been happening?
