God continues to bless the teaching of his word in Cambodia. The harvest is ripe, and God has provided a new house of teaching and worship in the province of Siemreab - BEC3! Initially, the ecclesia at Siemreab gathered at the home of Brother Veasna. Now with the advent of BEC3, brothers and sisters and children and friends can meet together to learn and grow in this new house. After a long bus ride, we were up early on Saturday morning to prepare the Siemreab house for its first event - a seminar on that Saturday afternoon. Sister Loy and brethren Daran and Veasna purchased furniture for the new house with the help of some students from the dormitory in Phnom Penh. By early afternoon, the team had arranged cupboards, appliances, and even kitchen cutlery. Firstly I want to take chance to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the blessing upon the effort of preaching works here in Cambodia both spiritual and physical needs. Through our eyes witnesses from year pass to new year come we can't count his blessing upon his children which is us so we are so gratefully for his continuing blessing to support the new project for Kampong Spue Sunday school building project which make more easy for the children to seat on the chairs with table over the concrete not on the floor like before and also the New Ecclesia set up in Siem Reap province which is recently just start in July. And also we never forget to give and show gratefulness to our brethren such as BEC executive, ACBM and WCF committee who works more harder to find money to support the action work, to set up short and long term spiritual plan to make sure that our brethren and sister keep growing in spiritual way and also to develop Christ's character inside each of us etc.....

As teachers move in and out of the program, one challenge that the BEC faces is to rapidly build confidence and trust by students of the new fieldworkers and ensure they can continue lessons with minimal upset. (A challenge for any curriculum). A special invitation is sent to all students to attend an evening of introduction and welcome. Welcome (to new students and teachers) and farewell (to fieldworkers going home). The evening also provides an opportunity to share the lives, family stories and study challenges. Frequently students who are living away from home and are in need of “parents” and mentors to guide their decisions. Listening to the many challenges they face, the very limited budget available, often the meagre incentive from family and the few resources they have along with a schooling system that has developed few skills in research, initiative and ambition. Mealtimes - Just like a large family! Meals are taken as a combined group in the main room, with a large midday meal expertly provided by  Srey Touch ( pronounced Sray too). It is a time to consolidate, share progress and interact with the other fieldworkers. It is always a hearty occasion with some brethren already having spent 4 or 5 hours teaching the keen early morning classes. Following lunch we do a daily reading with the lively discussion before commencing the afternoon program that continues through to 7pm followed by dinner which is often shared with student dormer or local brethren and sister. Dinner is  atime of reflection, followed by preparation for the next day and normally early nights (unless your nameis Vitou- who sometimes continues way into the night. We close the day thankful to our Heavenly Father for the blessing of enlightment of His word and the privilege to share this with keen students and sometimes Brethren and Sister from Phnom Penh or surroundi...
