We have just completed our first six weeks of our intended almost 6 month stay as field workers in Cambodia. It has been a very rewarding experience as the Cambodian students are very keen to learn, and the BEC where we are based is well equipped and organised. Some of the students are so keen to learn that they not only come for morning and afternoon studies, but also request classes at the weekend as well! Of course, as you can imagine, it is very hard to fit all these classes in! The harvest here in Phnom Penh is very fruitful and we seem to have a never ending supply of new students wanting to learn English and the Bible. In addition to the lessons at the BEC activities are held with the local ecclesia as well as the students who are living at Bethezer Dormitory. Over time the pungent smells, ad hoc traffic regulations, stark contrasts of poverty against shiny government buildings, erroneous Tuk Tuk journeys and the  persistent, musical  ice-cream man have become the norm and the beautiful things  embedded  in the culture of the people here and the spiritual experiences have made for a great experience I will recommend to everyone who wants to share God's plan! Interested people walk through the doors every day keen to hear what you have say and all you have to do is tell them what you believe when they ask! There are enough resources to keep you busy with English and bible tuition while always adding to the repertoire of bible stories and biblical understanding as you teach and enthuse. It is ideal for all ages - especially us uni students who have a whole lot of not much going on in our summers! Tour Activities After P2P and Youth Conference in Philippines finished with successful and productive spiritual experiences. A group of 36 people including brethren, sisters and friends from overseas continuing their journey to Cambodia for the same purpose of preaching, sharing and helping people in this poor country to know the Gospel of salvation which the only hope we all can share and preach. P2P people arrived Cambodia on the 28 th December 2013 at night in Siem Reap airport where the Angkor Wat temple is. Spider, snake, rotten fish and crab, cricket, beetle, silk worm and baby duck.  These animals have all appeared in my digestive tract while staying in Kampuchea, in fact baby duck egg even became a regular treat. Every Saturday night after the Seminar at the dorm, and two hours of fanatical football, on the way home we would indulge in a boiled egg inclusive of feathers (for your benefit I won’t explain the rest). Don’t think that coming over to Cambodia will mean you too must eat these critters, I would just highly recommend it.  If you are scared that coming over here will mean you don’t get the benefits of the west, I assure you that just isn’t true! Everything you can buy in the west can be found at Lucky supermarket just 5 minutes’ walk from the BEC anyway at fairly competitive prices.
