Chum Reap Leah....
Well, we have really enjoyed our stay in Cambodia and we don’t want to leave! We are flying back to Australia this afternoon, God willing. We have spent a very short three weeks here at the BEC and have made so many awesome friendships in that time. We are going to miss everyone here so much when we return to our homes. We have been encouraged by many wonderful people and have learnt from them all. They are all inspiration, and words cannot describ
e how much we love them all. We have observed their positive attitudes even though many of them come from some horrible backgrounds. They are so strong and even if we could just develop half of their strength, we would be able to stand firm (something to aim for). We have been uplifted by teaching God’s word and studying with our friends. We are so blessed to have something precious that brings us all together.

It has been lots of fun here at BEC. We have had a full house and a lot of laughter in it. We are so jealous of Lara and Samee, who are here for six weeks! We have also had heaps of fun staying at the girl’s dorm. All the girls are just so beautiful and caring. We have really enjoyed getting to know them more and sharing many great chats and laughs with them all. It is so sad to leave!
We have been really blessed to see Myna become a son of God. We are very excited for him and rejoice with the angels in heaven. God’s family in Cambodia is growing!
We want to say thankyou to Steve and Lynne. They are doing a great work here and God has certainly blessed their efforts. Thankyou for making us feel very welcome and for helping us here in Cambodia. We love you both lots and pray for God to be with you.
We are really sad to leave our sister, Loy. We have enjoyed getting to know you and we cannot wait to share the Kingdom with you soon. You are understanding, caring and thoughtful (and a lot of fun, too) and we are so thankful for our friendship. Preah Protain Por Naik!
This morning, Dad gave the morning meditation at the dorms, encouraging us to REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS! We really don’t want to return to Australia, but we can be joyful as we remember everything we’ve loved in Cambodia. Thankyou to all our friends in Phnom Penh, and thankyou God for giving us this awesome experience. May God bless you all!
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sings psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:12-17
