Warren and I spent several weeks recently in
Cambodia at the Phnom Penh BEC.
Our main mission was to introduce to the senior
brothers and sisters how to implement Gods
commandments for marriage whether as a separate ceremony or incorporated into
the Cambodian cultural marriage ceremony.
The aim of our visit was to present:
- The history of marriage covered in Genesis when God said " It was not good for a man to be alone."
- Building a Christ-centred marriage and understanding the biblical principles of marriage.
- How to nurtue a lasting marriage.
Everyone
involved were excited, enthusiastic, enthralled and many points were discussed
by the parties involved.
What we covered was not a big issue culturally
and no matter where in the world we are raised when it comes to sharing most of
your life with your spouse we all have plenty we can learn to aid in developing
strong marital relationships.
Warren and I were thrilled when we received
very positive feedback from the participants.
I would also like to mention that all that
contribute to the functioning of the BEC and dormitory are doing a brilliant
job. What a difference I can see in the people that access these two programs.
The health of our brothers, sisters and young
people seemed overall improved, they were happy, energetic, involved in
ecclesial life, and working hard at their studies.
The BEC is a buzz of activity with many people
accessing all that is on offer.
Thank you to all our brothers , sisters and
friends from Pnomn Penh for helping to make this visit of ours a memorable one.

Feedback from participants:
Firstly, we would like to say thank you so much for Bartons that they spent their $ and time coming here to teach us more extra knowledge about Marriage Counseling course which was very helpful for our young brothers and sisters here because all of them will find their partner and some already in relationship so it is so good to remind them to be carefully on their choice for choosing life partner in the future.
So we can see clearly through the Bible that God really wants to see his children go with the same yoke with each other and also he wants us to live according to his instructions from the Bible because the Bible show us where is the right way to go and where is the wrong way that we must not go similarly to the ( Red and Green light where the whole world country use at the traffic light stop to warn people).
