New BEC in Sihanoukville

            Hi everyone!!!
I’m so happy to announce that because of God’s willing now we have second new BEC in Cambodia which is located in Sihanoukville.

Yes on the Pjom ben day (khmer holiday) we just come down to Sihanoukville for our holiday, me and vitou we try to have a look at the house so that we can rent after discuss with our Bro and Sis.  We have a looked at so many places and then we find one which we really like. It just under the University and got a good space in the front ( 10m by 7m) and it got 3 bedrooms 4 toilets one of the toilet are outside for the student so that can use.

* And on the 4th of November 2012
Me and Dy make trip down to Sihanoukville with a lot of stuff for the new BEC
And on the way we just stop at my house a little bit to pick up my brother and my sister, so they can help us to clean the house and other stuff. After that next minute Sarah and E and Jess, Luke, Jonno, Emma arriving here at Sihanouk ville too, so they all help us to clean and to set everything up. So thank to Jess and Luke so much especially to Jonno and Emma.

*The reason why we have BEC in Sihanouk ville?
Because we hope really strongly that we can form a little Ecclesia to start with and if it is God’s willing it will growth big like Phnom Penh Ecclesia.
Also because of Theung and Savy after their marriage they will live down here at Sihanoukville and also it close to my village and yes hopefully in the future if Ren and Jonno decide to live in Cambodia for a few year that will be good so they can come and join the meeting here too. so that way they won’t feel far away from the Ecclesia. As we know that it not easy if some part of the body are missing. so hopefully we will have a memorial meeting with them and other every Sunday God’s willing.

*And Why we choose the house under Uni?
It because we think that we can caught up with the student and it easy for them to come and learn, It just in a good location.

So thank to all our Brother and Sister so so much for all the help and support. and please pray for this new BEC to grow so everyone will know our Father name.

Love In Lord Jesus Christ

Bro K

An Addendum by Sarah
We arrived in Sihanoukville just over a week ago and have been spending our time setting up the house and getting things as organised as is possible in this country.  Vitou and Dany came down on Friday as it was a public holiday (yes, another one!!).  Yesterday Savy and Theung came by for lunch and we also had our first memorial meeting as the new Sihanoukville ecclesia.  We are really excited about being here and being able to support Savy who is new to the meeting and looking forward to the encouragement and guidance provided through having brothers and sisters nearby.  We are hoping that brothers and sisters from Phnom Penh will be able to come and visit every few weekends in order to support our wee meeting.

For those of you that don't know, Sihanoukville is a seaside town and we are now situated within 15mins walk of the beach.  Not just any old beach, but a beach of golden sand and warm water.  It is a much quieter town than Phnom Penh, however as it is a tourist attraction there are plenty of Western restaurants and "foreigner stuff" is available at the supermarket.  K and I are only here until early next year and we are keen to have someone take over the running of this new BEC.  It is such an exciting opportunity and we are praying that the excitement of teaching God's word in such a beautiful setting will move some of you to volunteer for this work in either a short or long term capacity.  Even if you are unable to come please help spread the word that this new initiative needs some willing volunteers.

God Proves the Power of Prayer Again and Again

Over the course of my five-month long Cambodia trip I had the opportunity to teach class es at the Bethezer girl dorm regularly . For th ese class es I have a translator so I just get to teach the good news ( none of this dilly-dallying about English teaching ). Our topic on this particular night was prayer. Philippians 4:6 reminded us that God is longing to hear from us just as a father lo ves to hear from his child or how we are just hanging out to get a message from someone we love. We looked at H is promises to answer ALL our prayers while we abide in Jesus Christ (John 15:7) and at Psalm 34:4 where God confidently affirms that when you find your happiness with God, H e will certainly give you more of what makes you happy (Him!). And you can pray for that happiness because God will give you anything that brings you closer to Him so never be afraid to ask! That is nothing but i ncredibly good news ! We raced through many more quotes and I had expected to strug...

Maybe I'm just a girl

Well, dear Readers, Things have been busy here with preparation for our seminar this weekend. Catering, printing, emailing and phoning have been occupying our hours. James is sitting opposite me on the table working on his talks for Friday. We have had quite a number of bookings for our seminar and the numbers have only been limited by the size of our premises. God willing, all will attend and we’ll have a good two days of talks and chatting. We’re planning, God willing, a boat cruise as our social activity and that should be a blast since we can have a 2 hour cruise for 50 people for only $20. Have managed to hook up skype credit and tested a mobile call to Prydie. The 5 second lag meant it was like having two random monologues in the same room. The prices was fairly reasonable, but even as 3 cents a minute the cost climbs. James spends much time out on the balcony. He gets good wireless reception. It's quite a amusing to peek through the window and see James out on the balcony wa...
