Hi everyone

just thought I would pass a blog today, otherwise I'm not going to get a chance.

since Last thursday, less than a week ago, our life has been a flurry of activity, nothing out of the ordinary anyways. We had a Good bye party for the Bremners, where some of the dormers (K and Chem) and one of the LCDI students (Channy) and myself did speeches.

we had a pretty hectic amount of food. It didn't last long. but it was a good effort by Loy. I came late. in fact nearly an hour late. I came late, because all the roads were flooded, I had been riding hte moto all day, and I had Kosal Seang and Toung with me. So we had really bad traffic. I think it took us nearly 45 minutes to get near the BEC, and then the moto over heated so we had to walk it to the BEC.

But everyone here at least got to say their goodbyes.

Sunday Mum arrived. I went to pick her up. Josh and Sarah were both teaching. so I cancelled my lesson with the boys. and picked her up on Jehu ( I wanted to give her a nice ride). She nearly cried when she saw me. one of the first things she said (and Raju is going to love this) you've lost weight my son. so we packed her, me and her suit case in between us, and off we went. She got the real Cambodian experience from the very begginning. She was OK. Nerves of steel.

Since then we've all been busy. Mum's been teaching a fair bit. I've finally got myself organised and put together a roster. Got some extra lessons too. Bong Theavy said she wanted to start studying with me, which is really cool. I feel a bit honoured. She's got excellent questions. Channa has been really keen lately, I've been going through the history of Israel with him (that is Channa, so confusing having Him as a name) and Sophorn.

Since before the Hewitts left we've been doing parables. and we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find them. This morning and yesterday I did the feilds are ready to harvest. how each of us has a hope, something so wonderful we can't keep it inside us. we've got this knowledge, this Gospel of The wonderful Kingdom and Jesus Christ. this is something that we all have to openly declare to each other. I said that Cambodia was a big harvest. we just need the labourers. I likened it to how Elijah prayed for rain and the crops came up. we've already been provided with the living water, and now we have crops here. This, like Elijah, is a result of prayer. So please keep this country in your prayers. Thank you very much.

Love in that living water.

God Proves the Power of Prayer Again and Again

Over the course of my five-month long Cambodia trip I had the opportunity to teach class es at the Bethezer girl dorm regularly . For th ese class es I have a translator so I just get to teach the good news ( none of this dilly-dallying about English teaching ). Our topic on this particular night was prayer. Philippians 4:6 reminded us that God is longing to hear from us just as a father lo ves to hear from his child or how we are just hanging out to get a message from someone we love. We looked at H is promises to answer ALL our prayers while we abide in Jesus Christ (John 15:7) and at Psalm 34:4 where God confidently affirms that when you find your happiness with God, H e will certainly give you more of what makes you happy (Him!). And you can pray for that happiness because God will give you anything that brings you closer to Him so never be afraid to ask! That is nothing but i ncredibly good news ! We raced through many more quotes and I had expected to strug...

Maybe I'm just a girl

Well, dear Readers, Things have been busy here with preparation for our seminar this weekend. Catering, printing, emailing and phoning have been occupying our hours. James is sitting opposite me on the table working on his talks for Friday. We have had quite a number of bookings for our seminar and the numbers have only been limited by the size of our premises. God willing, all will attend and we’ll have a good two days of talks and chatting. We’re planning, God willing, a boat cruise as our social activity and that should be a blast since we can have a 2 hour cruise for 50 people for only $20. Have managed to hook up skype credit and tested a mobile call to Prydie. The 5 second lag meant it was like having two random monologues in the same room. The prices was fairly reasonable, but even as 3 cents a minute the cost climbs. James spends much time out on the balcony. He gets good wireless reception. It's quite a amusing to peek through the window and see James out on the balcony wa...
